Calvin 5/4/09-5/7/09
1 am on May 4 and he was a beautiful foal. Later that day his momma was having
trouble and the vet was called. After an all night battle to save her we lost Ransom
Note at 5:30 am on 5-5-09. Calvin thrived and did well. He was a joy to care for and
grand and wonderful mare and had a gentle soul and sweet spirit. Calvin was born at
he would follow me around like a puppy. On May 7 at 4:00 Am he crashed and we

His short life had a very deep impact on the staff of Epona and we wanted a way to
keep his memory alive.
To Honor Calvin's memory we wanted to help other foals that become orphans. We
established Calvin's Corral Foal Outreach. As funds allow the Corral will provide Milk
Replacer, and other needed items to rescues that have orphaned foals to care for .
